My Sister Just Relocated to Paradise

After what seemed like hundreds of homes, my sister finally bought one of the available Hilton Head homes for sale. I’m sure she tried the patience of her real estate agent but he never acted like it. I can just imagine how nice it would be to live there and be able to walk out the front door and across the sand to feel the sand between my toes and the fresh ocean breeze in my face. They say there’s magical and healing properties in and around the ocean. Everyone does seem more alive, healthy, and energized there.

Of all the Hilton Head homes for sale my sister could have chosen, I’m really glad she bought one that is oceanfront. There is such a difference in my attitude and outlook on life when I visit the ocean that I just know it will benefit her as well. To have the ocean as a view everyday rather than a skyscraper or mounds of snow must be beneficial to and have a calming affect on the brain. It is an indisputable fact, I have read, that people who live near the ocean are overall just more happy. I know that’s something she could sure use.

My sister is an outdoor enthusiast, so she’ll love being able to put her kayak in the water so easily. Exercise abounds everywhere there and there’s plenty to do including golf, biking, and walking the beach. Can you tell I’m a wee bit envious? I’m thinking pretty soon I will be looking at what’s available for Hilton Head homes for sale.

The Perfect Size for One

I’d been looking at properties for myself and wanted something on the more compact size since I live alone. I didn’t have the money or the initiative to be hiring a cleaning lady and a gardener to take care of a huge property while I’m away traveling for my job. I knew I wanted to live on Hilton Head Island because I’m an avoid golfer and this area is like paradise. I’d vacationed there plenty of times and it was where my heart felt at home. So imagine how delighted I was to discover the Tanglewood Villas Hilton Head I looked at that were just perfect for me.

I found a recently updated end unit with a shaded deck and a lovely view of the pool. Tanglewood Villas Hilton Head is located in a peaceful setting and very close to the beach which is perfect for me. I was told that this is one of the best values in the Forest Beach area and near Coligny Plaza. The entire exterior of Tanglewood Villas Hilton Head has been recently updated with new exterior doors, windows, porches, balconies, and siding. There’s also a new energy efficient air handler in the HVAC system.

Located in the south end of Hilton Head Island, the development of Forest Beach where Tanglewood Villas is located is bordered on one side by the ocean and converges on Coligny Square. Forest Beach Drive runs parallel to the ocean on either side of Coligny Circle with beachside and non-beachside streets fingering off either section.

Cape May NJ Homes

The beautiful Cape May NJ Homes I looked at this past weekend were impressive to say the least. Pricing varied from less than $100,000 to upwards in the millions of dollar range. I found a real estate company that serves the Cape Island area as well as the Off Shore community so I could get a good tour of the area and see what was available.

What captured my attention was a sweet West Cape May 3-story home right on Sixth Avenue. I’ve always preferred houses with character and charm and this one has both. There’s three bedrooms plus usable space on the 3rd floor. The long galley kitchen has lots of cabinets and counter space and opens out to a deck in the back or a large screened in porch off the side of the house. I can picture a row of our rockers sitting out there already. There is clearly lots of room in this house to fill up with kids or dogs. Oh yes, there is also a new gas oven with built-in down draft exhaust, a laundry room and pantry off the kitchen. Both the electric and the roof have been redone within the last six years. It's clearly been a well-loved and cared for home.

If you haven't been to Cape May recently it's probably time to go back. Frankly, I can't imagine anyone not wanting to return right away. The atmosphere there is so calming and stress-free and the ocean just wraps itself around you. I can't imagine anyplace more peaceful and relaxing.
